I've been trying to get this freaking song recorded for over a year now. It came as part of a jam session with some members of my previous band, FeverDream.

I went to the communal grand piano in the facility I live in to write the lyrics, only to be told to be quiet by some asshat taking clients after 5 in his office next door. Now, I understand that making music is a loud and obnoxious process, so I leave and write the rest of the song in my apartment.

I know I shouldn't record vocals in my apartment because it will annoy my neighbors, so I decide to record in the guest parking lot of the facility. What a great idea! I drive there to record. I have a great recording session outside. You might be able to hear crickets in the recording.

Before I know it there's a COP CAR in the lot, blocking my exit. I guess someone heard me yelling. If I try to drive, I'll get pulled over. I've been drinking a lot of wine, and I stupidly left my wallet in my apartment. So I grab my computer and walk right past the cop car into the apartment complex, trying to be as obvious as possible.

I go back to get my car later and the cop is gone.
